Set of resources on the role of the Environmental Health Officer

A PowerPoint presentation with links to video clips showing children of different ages communicating. The challenge for the pupils is to correctly link the age of the child with the correct clip. It also encourages pupils to think about other aspects of development in order to identify the age.

1. A PowerPoint presentation covering key aspects of the 'Human Growth and Development' module of the WJEC specification. I use it as revision prior to the exam. 2. A set of flash cards for the life stages and milestones for physical development up to sixteen years old (glue and fold down the middle then cut out) 3. A summary of growth and development through the life stages - I get the pupils to highlight and mind map the key information as a revision exercise

A workbook and set of powerpoint presentations. I use this with my health and social care group but could also be used at KS4 in food technology. I've also included copies of the presentations I've adapted from FoodaFactofLife

The set resources looks at intellectual development and introduces Piaget's Theory of cognitive development. There is a clip which I use alongside the worksheet and a PowerPoint Presentation with starter and plenary. I've also included flash cards for the stages of learning to read (need to be folded down the middle, glued and cut up).
